NCC, National Cadet Corps of India is the largest youth uniformed organization of this world. Here’s some detail on its beginnings. It can be traced back to 1917 with the passing of the Indian Defense Act of 1917.
It was called University Corp with the objective of making up for the shortage of the army. It grew and transformed into NCC on 16th April 1948 with the Passing of NCC Act by the Government of newly formed India.
The aim slowly changed to grooming the youth of the nation into more disciplined and patriotic citizens of the country.
